It was carried out at the Department of General, Transplant, and Liver Surgery at the Medical University of Warsaw (MUW) Clinical Center. The medical team pulled out all the stops, deploying their most advanced 'heavy hitters' for this case. It’s an incredibly complex procedure, carrying significant risks both during and after surgery. Every single element had to align perfectly for it to succeed. Currently, the patient is doing well and is slowly regaining her strength; she may even be discharged soon. She’s already up and walking around the ward, eating, and asking when she can go home. To see a patient walking, eating, and feeling this good just one day after such a massive operation is nothing short of a miracle. Of course, her journey continues with chemotherapy to target any remaining cancer cells, but her progress so far is remarkable.
